LIFTING FEET ALONG YOUR WAY
Buttercup, Copper, Daisy, Bitumen, Iron, Dandelion, Nettle, Peat, Earth pigment on hand-stretched canvas. 50 x 70 cm.
Using the colours created from the N4 road, Kari created this work in response to the journey taken through the landscape. Colours are poured onto the canvas in layers creating organic shapes highlighting the accumulated history of the landscape. The natural colours of daisy, dandelion, nettle, and peat are being intersected by the man-made iron, copper, and bitumen, echoing the relationship between nature and humans.
